The Blue Monkey is called "Chuen" in the Yucatec Mayan language,(pronounced Chu' Wen).
Traditional translations of Chuen include "monkey," "howler," "artisan," "scribe, "Weaver," and "Weaver of Time."
As the 11th of the 20 tribes, CHUEN is described in The Mayan Factor as signifying: "Monkey, Artist, Trickster, Principle of Intelligent Co-Creation of the Higher Life."
Additional qualities of Chuen are also known as "innocence," "innocent curiousity," "spontaneity," "inner child," "humor," "disruption," "tranparency," "dolphin energy," and "coyote energy."
BLUE represents the power of the direction WEST which offers the energy of "TRANSFORMS."
The Monkey is an ambassador of Cosmo-Rama! The monkey energy is known for weaving new patterns, constructive solutions, artistic expressions, or inventions into our lives; for dissolving ridigity and control; for bringing surprise, unexpected disruption or change, and cosmic detours! Really anything goes, so the monkey's message to us all is DON'T TAKE YOURSELF SO SERIOUSLY!!!
If we remain light hearted and humorous about our life situations, as challenging and intense as they may be, then we can navigate much more effectively and joyously in life.
In reality, Stress kills. Therefore, it is essential that we each make a serious point to lighten up!!!
PLAY
Play is an often overlooked essential part of the Wholeness of Life. This is where children are much wiser than adults, for they remain connected to the power of PLAYING, just for the frivolous fun of playing, with no agenda, for no reason and with nothing to gain or accomplish, just to play! Play is healing, liberating, and good for the divine child within us all. Play is indeed sacred communion with the Magic of Life.
This monkey cycle invites us to evaluate our personal equation of work + play and see where we're really at in our daily lives. Are we in balanced? If not, can we perhaps shift our equation, consciously, with self love? Giving our soul time and space to play actually assists our ability to apply ourselves in our work, so even the rational mind can find reason to play!
As Ariel Spilsbury writes about Chuen: "As you freely play, the importance is taken off who you think you are, leaving room to explore all that you actually are."
MAGIC
I see absolute magic in the very miracle of life, and the endless, humbling glory of the Universe itself!

The very fabric of existence is magical, ever-beckoning us to receive and enjoy its presence. The colors of life, the exquisite interconnected harmony of the Biospheric web of life, the natural presence of telepathy, the perfect sacred geometry that unifies all of life, there is no end to the list of natural magic that surrounds us and lives within us!

ILLUSION
Monkey reminds us to play with the illusions in our life so that we do not get caught or bogged down in them. Monkey advises we remain tuned to the truth of the divine, unseen world which animates this world of form, that which connects all of us *and all moments* beyond illusions of separation. This knowing grants us Levity -- fuel to trust and smile!
In fact, is not this whole creation a Divine Play?!?! In the Indian Vedic tradition, the word "Maya" translates as "illusion which masquerades as apparent reality." Likewise, the word "Leela" means "Divine Play of Self; The Sport of God; The Dance of Consciousness." See you in the unfolding Play of Cosmos!
WE ARE STILL TRAVELLING THROUGH THE MYSTIC COLUMN:
On Red Self Existing Dragon; Kin 121; Solar Moon 4; March 10 we entered the 20-day period of time known as the MYSTIC COLUMN. The last day of this cycle is Yellow Planetary Sun; Kin 140; Solar 23; March 29.
This is the central column of the Tzolkin Matrix,(the 7th column) known as the spine of the entire 260-unit energy module. When we think of our spines we naturally also think of how our 7 energy centers/chakras are located along our spinal channel. This 20-day time period definitely conveys the power of the number 7: channeling/mystic power/resonance/attunement.
During this period of time it is also recommended to focus on being as highly aware of the "Zuvuya" principle as possible - in other words to be as conscious as possible of the "Memory circuit which returns all things to themselves." The Zuvuya can be understood as the figure 8 infinity loop in which energy is always flowing both directions at once. Past and Future are always flowing through the Present. The Zuvuya principle is always at work. When we experience things like premonition, psychic knowing, deja vu, telepathy, connection to dream state, etc, these are examples of consciously experiencing the Zuvuya.
WE ARE CURRENTLY TRAVELLING THROUGH THE 28-DAY CYCLE OF THE "SOLAR JAGUAR MOON OF INTENTION"
The use of the 13-Moon year helps us anchor dates chronologically, so it is an important cycle to follow to compliment the tracking of the Tzolkin dates.
Spanning Gregorian March 7 - April 3, the Solar Moon energies correspond to Tone 9, and the code words: Pulse, Realize, and Intention.

On White Self-Existing Wizard; Solar 17; March 23, we begin a new vinal of MAC: "Closing the equivocating part and entering a trance."
(Because this is a White Wizard Year, every 20 days on each White Wizard day we begin a new vinal meditation. The vinals are passed down through the Mayan lineage as a series of intriguing phrases which we are invited to contemplate during each 20-day period. After

ABUNDANT BLUE TRANSFORMING ENERGY:
THE BLUE MONKEY CYCLE IS THE THIRD WAVESPELL OF THE 52-DAY "BLUE WESTERN CASTLE OF BURNING."
As the 11th wavespell of the Tzolkin, the Blue Monkey wavespell is always the third TRANSFORMING wavespell of the 3rd Castle of Time: "The Blue Western Castle of Burning." I think it is called this because of the intensity of the 4 wavespells which compose this Castle.
First, the Red Serpent brings 10 portals in a row, then the White Mirror Wavespell carries us into the central,"mystic column" of the Tzolkin (the zone of pure potentiality) - ending right at the midpoint of the Tzolkin, kin 130. Then the Blue Monkey Wavespell starts right at that midpoint, kin 131, still travelling in the mystic column, and finally the Yellow Seed Wavespell delivers another round of 10 portals in a row! This castle of Burning is no joke! Let us burn away our egos, our fears, our falsehoods, our limitations, and shed our old skins!
(A castle of time simply refers to a grouping of 4 wavespells, one of each color which creates a 52-day period of time (13 x 4) in which the powers of the 4 wavespells cumulatively work together to bring specific lessons and initiations. Within each Tzolkin, there are 5 castles of time, 52 X 5 = 260 days.)
